The way things are done

Well I've never been one to keep quiet and sometimes I do get into blabbermouth mode but anyway, I'm normally one to ask a question as I see fit but I'm also never really sure who to ask.

Now I created this blog for my own knowledge and feedback into the eyes of Angie. She's got a good head on her shoulders but does sometimes seem to be tender hearted.... as I'm told.

But now I just have one more question before I retire for the night that I have often pondered in this BIG world of bondage irl and also SL.... how do you handle rights? I have a few scenarios I'm wondering about and anyone is welcome to chime in and help me at any time. I guess I'm asking you more or less because these are things that "I" need to know.

I know that a slave/submissive's rights are first and foremost important and respected. Yep, I know what a safeword is and I know how to use it... but here are a couple of things?

1. Your Mistress is on vacation and gives you full roam of access until she comes back. Do you honestly take her at her word or be loyal to her until she returns?

2. Your Mistress allows you to play with O/others and therefore you do. Your Mistress suddenly arrives and should the person in control of the slave/submissive relinquish control at this time to your Owner or ask if she can continue? Or should she just keep going as she wishes in front of your Mistress until she feels she is done?

3. You are partnered (in SL) and your partner allowes you to play with O/others also. Your partner suddenly arrives and should the person in control be courteous just as she would if this person was your Mistress or keep going as she pleases?

Is this something that is just determined relationship by relationship or is there a standard?

I tell ya, I need to write a book!

  1. Oh, what an interesting topic! Well, since you asked, I will be glad to throw in my 2-cents, which is probably worth more than the rest of this post!

Anyways, the one comment I would make is that I think the questions you ask really highlight one of the reasons it is so important to maintain constant communication in a D/s relationship.

    1. I would say this one is based on the relationship between the Domme/sub and whether or not they are partnered in SL. Most all the unpartnered subs I know will play with others to the degree they are allowed, if their Mistress gives them permission. All the partnered subs I know, do not play with others when their Domme is away, but I only know a couple of people who fall into in this category.

    2. Not sure if this is a standard, but what I have observed is that a subs RP with others will generally stop once the Domme comes online and calls for them. This could be immediately or the Domme may give the sub X amount of time to wrap up the scene.

I have seen this policy posted in other subs profiles, so IMO I would say its pretty universal. Having fallen under this policy before, I always made sure to explain the situation to others prior to starting RP with them to make sure they were informed and to allow them to decide if they wanted to continue under these circumstances.

    3. Not sure I can be of much help on this one. I would say that common curtsey between Dom(mes) would call for the one to at least ask the other if they required their sub back for any reason. I am just a sub, but I would be rather uncomfortable running a scene with another persons partner without have some sort of consent or something.

Anyways, sorry for such a long and rambling post, but I thought you asked some very interesting questions!

  2. My turn! (climbs on her soapbox)

    1. I agree with Rainne here. I think it depends on what the agreed upon relationship is beforehand. With one of my girls, Ashelia, she knows that I will allow her free reign when I am away, as long as she stays within her limits. However with Eniper I know she needs more control, so she is not allowed as much freedom to explore without me.

    2. When I was a collared sub I made sure to greet my Mistress when I saw her come online. (we all miss that sometimes) If I were involved in a scene I would let her know and she would let me know then what I should do. Usually she was happy to let me continue.
As a Mistress I wait for that same contact, and if i don't get it right away I IM them myself. If they are busy in a scene I'll ask them if they are comfortable with what is going on and with the person involved. if all is well, then I'll let them continue. Usually they find a way to end it quickly and come to my side.
    3. I'm not sure what you're asking here dear, but perhaps what I said above also applies.
